Responsibilities
Monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling
Provides support to work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning
Performs repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as directed
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements as directed. Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience in building maintenance and trade skills, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, EMS and other building mechanical systems
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook; experience with electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems
The candidate must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license
