The GIANT Company is dedicated to improving the lives of their customers and communities across several states. They are seeking a certified Pharmacy Technician to fill prescriptions, assist customers, and maintain inventory while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment, and fill supplies as needed that would be required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties

Move totes, open totes, unpack incoming supplies, and put the items on appropriate shelves

Clean various shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect product for expiration dates

Help customers and answer telephone calls

Must verify identification of customers for products when required

Complete the prescription filling process, which includes data entry and product dispensing

Required to be state or nationally certified and must maintain license certification on their own. If technician is certified to immunize, they will also complete the process immunizing customers

Must meet state required minimum age

Must be able to successfully complete background check and drug screening

Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations

Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days

Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position

Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job

Must be able to perform all job functions safely

Must meet the company performance standards for the job

Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job

Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position

Team members are required to be either state or nationally certified
