Responsibilities
Regularly inspecting the workplace and production floor to identify potential hazards to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
Create and implement safety plans and procedures tailored to the specific needs of a workplace
Investigating workplace accidents to determine causes and recommend preventative measures
Accurate, updated, and responsible record retention of all safety incidents, training sessions, and safety audits
Conducting safety orientation and ongoing training to employees regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures
Create and update internal safety policies and environmental practices and policies as needed
Collaborating with management and enforcing adherence to safety regulations and policies
Qualification
Required
A minimum of high school diploma is required
Proficient with MS Office programs
Must be comfortable with problem solving techniques and data analysis
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and understand highly technical materials
Communications skills to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible
Lifting up to 35 pounds
Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
Preferred
Bachelors degree or significant work towards a degree in a related field preferred
General understanding of Microsoft Applications
