Responsibilities

Efficiently and professionally execute all assigned field service activities, including:
Plant Surveys
On-site system cleaning
Corrosion coupon installation and monitoring
Water sampling
Pilot plant commissioning, cleaning and maintenance
Prepare thoroughly for each Field Service visit, ensuring all necessary documentation, tools, and equipment are available and ready
Verify that all tools used in field service work are properly calibrated and up to date
Complete and distribute daily service reports and sign-off sheets promptly and accurately
Provide written recommendations for improvements in equipment design, fabrication processes, and controls to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction
Perform chemical cleanings of systems at customer sites in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
Seek approval from the Project Manager or VP of Operations prior to implementing any changes to assigned tasks
Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding concerns, material shortages, or requirements for start-up spares
Accurately document all changes for use in As-Built documentation and project records
Record and report any customer-requested changes and obtain proper authorization before proceeding
Ensure that all on-site work is completed to the satisfaction of the client or their designated representative
Participate actively in all company-sponsored training programs to stay current with industry practices and internal standards
Conduct thorough operator training sessions, ensuring customers sign off on training to confirm satisfaction
Promote the employers field services, spare parts, and chemical solutions to clients and end users
Maintain accurate safety records and conduct on-site safety meetings when appropriate to uphold a safe working environment
Monitor pilot plants remotely and coordinate necessary purchases to support their operation
Perform and participate in cleaning studies performed as part of lab services to determine an appropriate solution for a client

Required

demonstrated experience in membrane technology and water treatment processes
responsible for executing a variety of Field Service activities related to membrane system (Reverse Osmosis, Nanofiltration, Ultra and Microfiltration) troubleshooting and optimization
experience in full scale system installation, commissioning, system repairs, and upgrades
efficiently and professionally execute all assigned field service activities
prepare thoroughly for each Field Service visit, ensuring all necessary documentation, tools, and equipment are available and ready
verify that all tools used in field service work are properly calibrated and up to date

4 Year degree in Chemical Engineering with 2 years water treatment experience
2 Year degree in technical degree with 5 years water treatment experience
strong understanding of membrane technology, water treatment processes, and related equipment
proficiency in working with electrical control systems and understanding mechanical processes
ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot effectively, and determine the appropriate solutions
excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers professionally
ability to work in various environments and quickly adjust to changing circumstances
ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per day)
frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders or stairs
ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools, small parts, and equipment
comfortable working in confined spaces, elevated areas, or outdoors in various weather conditions
ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, N95 masks, respirators, and protective clothing
ability to safely handle and work around chemicals used in cleaning, sampling, and maintenance processes
visual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards, read instruments and gauges, and communicate effectively on-site
must be able to travel frequently and work extended hours or weekends when required, including on short notice
capable of operating a company vehicle and maintaining a valid driver's license (if travel is required)
