Responsibilities

Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance
Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives
Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials

Required

Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience in Fighter/Attack/Bomber (preferably F-16) aircraft maintenance as an electrician
Must have experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires, shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors
Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required
Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater
Medical Examinations and Standards is mandatory for this specialty
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
