They are seeking a Mine & Production Technician who will be responsible for general plant/mine labor, monitoring production areas for nonconformity, and filling in for various production roles as needed.

Responsibilities
General plant/mine labor and clean up of production areas
Observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity
Being trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands
Perform kiln outage work including refractory
Off load/handling of coal
Report equipment problems identified to management
Complete equipment pre-shift report, if applicable
Clean work areas
Shovel stone from around conveyors
Maintain bathroom facilities
Removal and installation of kiln refractory
Operate small front end loader
Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Willing and able to work rotating shifts
5+ years of laborer experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization
Regularly required to stand, frequently required to walk and occasionally required to sit
Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Reach with hands and arms
Climb or balance
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Talk or hear
Taste or smell
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts
Works in high, precarious places
Works in outside weather conditions
Works with explosives
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, petroleum products, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration
Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
