Traffic Control Technician
AWP Safety is America’s leading traffic management company, dedicated to improving traffic safety. They are seeking motivated individuals for the role of Traffic Control Technician, responsible for managing traffic flow through work zones and ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and remove Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control devices according to Federal, State, and/or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for simple and intermediate complexity work zones
Maintain a Flagger Station by standing and controlling road users through the use of hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle
Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment, trailers, and team members to and from work sites safely and in a timely manner. May also pull lightweight trailered equipment
Effective radio communication with team members on work site
Follow all company safety procedures and practices
Notify Supervisor of any potential safety issues or incidents
Achieve organizational required training within timeframe established by. Project Manager or Facility Manager
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Protector
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required
Valid Driver's License void of suspension or revocation required
High School Diploma or GED completion required
Must be able to follow safe workplace practices
Preferred
Prior experience preferred in temporary traffic control services, utility industry, or construction industry preferred
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems
