They are seeking a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) to apply advanced nursing skills, serve as a mentor, and ensure best practices in patient care within the hospital.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced nursing skills and critical thinking in specialty and emergency settings
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other veterinary technicians and assistants
Actively participate in case management, client education, and patient advocacy
Ensure best practices in anesthesia, pain management, diagnostics, and nursing care, according to your specialty
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely medical records and logs
Assist with equipment maintenance, protocol development, and inventory within your department
Support ongoing technician training and continuing education efforts within the hospital

Required

Credentialed Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in any NAVTA-recognized specialty
Active LVT license in North Carolina, or ability to obtain
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital setting
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Passion for teaching, collaboration, and elevating the standard of care
