Responsibilities
Assists pharmacists by compounding, preparing, labelling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Maintains all requirements for licensure as a registered pharmacy technician, in accordance with New York State Education Law, and performs duties consistent with medication compounding
Identifies problems and provides basic troubleshooting skills to maintain operation of technology to ensure the highest level of safety
Participates in and reinforces environmental monitoring and compliance required by USP standards
Qualification
Required
Licensed as a registered pharmacy technician in accordance with New York State Education Law
Ability to compound, prepare, label, and dispense medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Basic troubleshooting skills to maintain operation of technology to ensure the highest level of safety
