Responsibilities

Works under indirect supervision of the Resource Technician performing daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department, which include all aspects of the decontamination, assembly of sets, sterilization processes, and specialty cart restocking (CPR carts, Disaster Carts, Case Carts and Specialty carts)

Ensures functions are performed with conscious regard to the procedures while interacting professionally with other departments within the system

Qualification

Certified Sterile Processing TechnicianSurgical instrumentation knowledgeInfection control practicesMechanical equipment operationRegulatory compliance knowledge

Required

Knowledge of surgical instrumentation in regards to identification, cleaning, inspecting, testing, packaging and sterilization

Operation of mechanical equipment for instrument cleaning and sterilization
