Automotive Technician

Volvo Car USA is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive automotive diagnostics, conducting routine vehicle maintenance, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring that vehicles are serviced efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs
Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, transmissions, and powertrain components
Utilize schematics to troubleshoot complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other vehicle systems
Execute alignment services and ensure vehicles meet manufacturer specifications
Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used for each vehicle
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs
Collaborate with other technicians to enhance service efficiency and quality of work
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training

Required

Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician is required; dealership experience is preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, including familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diesel engine repair
Understanding of auto estimating processes and ability to interpret schematics effectively
Experience working on GM vehicles is a plus
Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of automotive repair
Strong communication skills to provide clear explanations to customers about their vehicle's condition and required services
