IT Technician
Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry, and they are seeking a passionate IT Technician to join their team. The role involves managing the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and maintaining accurate records of IT assets to support the smooth operation of IT services.

Responsibilities
Oversee the IT ticketing system, ensuring all issues and requests are logged and resolved promptly. Report any tickets older than two days to the IT Supervisor daily
Ensure all required fields are completed and solutions documented before closing tickets. Attach relevant screenshots to tickets
Report any critical issues that could impact production to IT Supervisor
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware, including location, asset number, MAC address, and assigned user. Tag new and existing equipment with asset numbers
Record and address any issues with tagged equipment, such as printers, scanners, laptops, etc
Build and maintain base PC configurations and related SOP documents. Ensure procedures are applied to tagged equipment and reviewed by the IT Supervisor
Create and maintain SOPs for IT operations, reviewed biannually by the IT Supervisor. Develop a Knowledge Base for issue resolution, referencing SOPs for detailed information
Record software requirements for each department, including version and update status. Maintain documentation on supported software
Qualification
Required
Solid experience within IT and manufacturing
Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills
The ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the business' mission
The ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team & demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together
The ability to develop others and manage performance by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress, ensuring feedback, and addressing performance problems promptly and diplomatically
Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends
Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize supplier value
Leads by example and motivates people so as to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment
Good technical writing, documentation, and record keeping skills
Good analytical problem solving ability
Ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment
Preferred
3+ years progressive experience in support of a production and/or a manufacturing environment is a plus
Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+. Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
