Registered Veterinary Technician
AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is looking to add a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to their team at Palm Desert Pet Hospital. The role involves providing excellent and compassionate medical care to pets while ensuring effective communication with their owners and maintaining a professional work environment.

Responsibilities
Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
Perform basic exam procedures
Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting, and extractions (simple, complex, gingival flaps)
Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); in-house laboratory equipment
Ability to utilize ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images and urine samples preferred
Excellent client communication/education
Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
Qualification
Required
Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license must be active and in good standing
3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
