Levin Furniture & Mattress is seeking an In-Home Furniture Technician to ensure the highest quality of product through inspection and repair. The role involves evaluating and repairing merchandise while maintaining safe and efficient work practices.

Responsibilities

Inspect, evaluate, and repair of merchandise
Practice safe and secure material handling methods in accordance with product handling standards
Report errors found on documents to supervisor
Complete all documentation, including digital photos, neatly and accurately
Maintain accurate inventory of customer parts
Operate manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned

Required

Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills
Basic reading and comprehension skills
Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner
Excellent organizational skills
Outstanding customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Mastery of wood, fabric and leather upholstery repair
Certified in bedding inspection in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 - 100+ lbs. repetitively
Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen
Ability to use hands to type information into computer

Preferred

Knowledge of GERS system preferred
