Responsibilities
Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including conveyors, ovens, freezers, pumps, motors, and packaging systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision
Support and lead equipment changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with sanitation protocols
Calibrate and adjust sensors, scales, and automated systems to maintain product quality
Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS and report recurring issues or potential failures
Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I team members
Assist with parts room to maintaining key equipment spare parts inventory
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE usage
Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to ensure equipment readiness and reliability
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
Other duties as identified or assigned by Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing
Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer literacy
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and operate in hot/cold environments
Preferred
Completion of Level I Maintenance Technician training or equivalent
Technical certification or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
Forklift and scissor lift certification
Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards
