Responsibilities
Responsible for all facets of basic/intermediate operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility mechanical systems and equipment
Conduct and/or support a variety of preventative maintenance activities associated with mechanical equipment and systems
Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems utilizing industry contacts and referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
Work safely in or near hazardous voltages
Support mission critical facility roles such as mechanical, electrical, and building operations maintenance
Escalate operational availability risks to leadership
Work in a state-of-the-art facility and be included in planning and procedure development
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of Data Center experience or equivalent mechanical OJT
Customer service experience required
Demonstrated ability to write and perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities associated with facility mechanical systems
Ability to write and update field reports
Complete all required C&W and client mandatory training as scheduled annually
Complete frequency-based infrastructure maintenance tasks on complex data center infrastructure
Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and best practices
Ability to use mechanical hand tools and testing equipment
Exhibits basic level skills and knowledge of building systems and equipment
Displays a willingness to cross-train on other data center systems
Must have the ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 -75 pounds)
Ability to escalate operational risks to data center infrastructure leadership
Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally, orally and written
Exhibits good time management skills and neatness
The ability to work safely where hazardous voltages and machinery are present
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (2007 or higher) desktop applications
Must clear in-depth security background check
