Utz Group is seeking a multi-functional Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper operation of machinery and equipment. The technician will perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, while maintaining safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements

Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and utilizing information from other individuals

Using precision tools to assist in determining problems

Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment, using hoists, cranes, and standard power tools

Installing equipment from start to finish

Adjusting functional equipment to optimize its performance

Control downtime by coordinating routine preventive maintenance

Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies on hand to accomplish results

Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating irregularities and scheduling correction of abnormalities

Maintain assigned maintenance records and equipment

Maintains a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and internal policies

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical and electrical prints

Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors

Order parts to support maintenance

Required

Experience with industrial maintenance is a must (Injection Molding/Thermoforming experience a plus)

Using precision tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks

Trouble shooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical (electronic) equipment. Learns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problems

Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures

Self-motivated and safety oriented

Takes responsibility for self-performance and manages time and priority of projects appropriately

Demonstrates a positive 'Can Do' attitude

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations while working well with others

Must have flexible schedule and take calls during off shift hours and weekends

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements

Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications

Troubleshoots malfunctions and is familiar with and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations

Technician must be able to troubleshoot AC, DC Drives, Gear Boxes, Robots, HMI, Chilled Water Systems, Vacuum systems (material convey), AC, DC, and servo motors, Electronic components, Pneumatic valves, Injection Mold equipment

Machinist and Mechanic skills including Drills, Grinder, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Valves, Vacuum pumps, Lubrication systems, Lathe, Mill, Welders

High School Diploma, associate degree in industrial maintenance or 5 years of experience in Industrial maintenance
