Responsibilities
All duties of a Tier 1 Assembly Technician including:
Install seals, covers, fixtures and fittings
Prepare assembly parts for install
Follow blueprints and schematics
Perform basic carpentry and metal fabrication work including drilling, cutting, and grinding
Clean work area
Install large mechanical assemblies such as lifts, conveyor systems, and auger assemblies
Assemble mechanical systems such as conveyor and auger assemblies
Lead junior staff in landing boxes on chassis
Assist in training new hires
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A strong understanding of assembly techniques is required
Have good verbal and written communication skills
Read a tape measure
Ability to use basic hand tools, drills & air tools
Must be self-motivated and able to stay on task with good attention to detail
Must maintain a clean and organized work environment
All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Dependable transportation required
Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, get in and out of vehicles and work on ladders throughout the day
Preferred
2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing field
