Pediatric Ophthalmology Technician

Responsibilities

Providing diagnostic testing and procedures for Ophthalmology and dermatology outpatient procedures
Assisting physicians during procedures
Educating patients about their conditions and treatments
Scheduling appointments for patients

Qualification

Certified Ophthalmic TechnicianOphthalmic Assistant CertificationBLS certificationPediatric experienceMA-R certification

Required

Completion of Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant training and certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification must be maintained through continuing education
Must obtain MA-R within 60 days of hire
Current BLS certification
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
Pediatric experience
