Responsibilities
Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods
Complete complex repairs to construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery
Conduct detailed inspections to ensure equipment compliance and functionality
Serve as a technical resource for customers
Communicate with customers regarding diagnostics, repair needs, and recommended service plans
Promote maintenance packages, repair services, and parts
Upselling and scheduling follow-up services
Write and manage purchase orders for repair parts and materials
Ensure all service records and contract documentation are properly closed out and cataloged
Maintains a safe work environment
Performs job functions safely at all times
Participates in all safety meetings
Communicates all concerns or violations to the appropriate manager(s) immediately
Uses the proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing work duties
Employee wears the proper shoes, glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc
Employee is properly attired to perform their job safely (no loose-fitting clothes, unsafe jewelry, etc.)
Disposes of waste properly
Abides by all local, state, and Federal laws; reads, understands, and agrees to follow the policies outlined in the Company Safety Manual and Company Handbook
Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of industry-central software(s) (RentalMan, Smart Equip, MS Office (excel))
Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality service standards
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, sales-oriented mindset
Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
5+ years of mechanical experience
Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Associate's or technical degree preferred
