Responsibilities
Performs sleep study modalities and implements therapeutic interventions with the guidance of a sleep technologist
Provides basic sleep modalities to adults (CPAP, BiPAP, EKGs, pulse oximetry and oxygen therapy)
Participates in patient education
Provides a safe environment for patients
Participates and helps improve all quality initiatives
Demonstrates effective written and spoken communication skills
Maintains compliance in RQI required
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited sleep technology program; or current licensure by the state of Ohio as an LPN; or certification as a medical assistant with a minimum of two years of experience is required
Become a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist within 2 years of hire required
BLS certification required
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests, physicians, and co-workers
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of patients served in the sleep lab
