Responsibilities

Observes, interprets, and records the telemetry recordings for monitored patients. May monitor alarms where applicable

Delivers and applies telemetry boxes to patients

Ensures correct patient is being monitored

Reports significant observations of cardiac rhythms and other alarm information to the health care team

Communicates pertinent information to patients as necessary

Produces accurate and complete documentation. Complies with handoff communication process

Performs other related duties as required

Qualification

Certified rhythm analyst technicianTelemetry monitoringArrhythmia course completionPatient communicationDocumentation skills

Required

A high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Certified rhythm analyst technician (CRAT) preferred

Successful completion of an approved arrhythmia course preferred or successfully passing an arrhythmia exam on hire
