They are seeking a Polysomnographic Technician responsible for performing comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, providing oversight of trainees, and making clinical judgments regarding patient care. This role requires extensive knowledge in sleep disorders and the ability to function independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the medical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee
Provide oversight of a Polysomnographic Trainee
Apply advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders and sound clinical judgments regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities
Maintain internal contacts within the work group, patient care staff, and management throughout the Medical Center
Engage in extensive direct patient care and patient contact on a daily basis

Current BLS Certification
Boarded by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

Preferred

One (1) year polysomnographic technology experience preferred
