Bruce Titus Automotive Group is an exciting and dynamic company that continues to grow and expand through acquisitions. They are seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics on vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Performs works as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
Road tests vehicles
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and driveability functions
Installs optional equipment specified by the customer or dealer
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
Keeps shop area neat and clean
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition they were received
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Reports any safety issues immediately to management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Valid Driver's License
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stretch, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb, balance, twist, turn, handle, reach, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
The work environment can range from slow to fast paced
The work environment is indoor and outdoor and may include inclement weather
The work environment is a multi-tasking, front line customer service environment
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to extreme
Numerous chemicals are used on a frequent basis as a normal part of this job
