Registered Veterinary Technician

The Registered Veterinary Technician position is responsible for delivering high-quality preventative nursing care and educating pet parents on preventative health care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality preventative nursing care in a community clinic setting with a strong focus on wellness and preventative medicine
Provide guidance and oversight to veterinary assistants and support staff; foster a collaborative, team-oriented clinic culture
Educate pet parents on preventative health care
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and practice standards
Uphold safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment

Required

Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a full-service, ER, or urgent care veterinary hospital
Proven ability to lead a team and manage workflow in a clinical environment
Confident in handling emergency situations with calm, effective triage and decision-making
Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
Independent thinker with a high level of initiative and professionalism
Familiarity with intubation & administering lifesaving CPR to pets
Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
