EVS Floor/Utility Technician Lead

They are currently seeking an EVS Floor/Utility Technician Lead to oversee floor care and project operations at a large commercial or federal facility, ensuring quality cleaning and maintenance of flooring surfaces.

Recruiting

Responsibilities

Schedules required or requested floor tasks or project tasks with supervisor
Inspects and prepares necessary equipment and chemicals required for scheduled procedures. Prioritizes and assigns tasks and coaches floor techs in performance duties
Completes necessary floor or periodic project tasks, followed by a quality review of project. Inspects work areas on a regular basis
Properly secure all equipment at completion of tasks. Trains and assists floor techs in performing duties, and in the safe and proper use of cleaning products, scrubbers, buffers, pressure washers, and other floor care equipment to meet quality and safety standards
Requests necessary repairs and remove unsafe or broken equipment
Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of floor care and pressure washing equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper operation and safe condition
Orders and maintains quantities of supplies, stock, and equipment
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

At least one year of floor care work experience
Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers and others
Ability to read and follow written instructions on labels for proper and safe use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment
Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of tools and equipment
Ability to learn to use specialized departmental equipment including that used in custodial services such as scrubbers and buffers
Knowledge of Cal OSHA occupational safety regulations
Knowledge of departmental operations, procedures, and organizational policies
Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others
Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English
Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team
Effective customer service skills
Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills

Preferred

Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges
