The Advanced Technician will execute injection molding in the processing lab to support technology development and will be responsible for improving and fixing processes in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and improve molding processes for numerous products on various hydraulic, electric and hybrid machines
Support and provide technical input to research projects
Troubleshoot complex molding problems, with understanding of product and machinery technology
Perform mold changes, minor mold repair and maintenance
Maintain accurate records in a Workflow Management Database
Maintain a safe and clean work environment that follows safety/health related policies and procedures
Perform some equipment modifications, maintenance and repairs

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Associate degree or equivalent experience (i.e., minimum 4 years of experience on injection molding equipment)
This job requires working in close proximity to 300 - 700 °F mold equipment
Regular climbing of stairs
Regular crouching
Frequent lifting of 55 lb. weights (floor to chest)
Frequent walking
Standing and reaching in front of body
Frequent climbing on/off fork-lift
