Responsibilities

Assist with patient care in the Endoscopy procedure room by performance of technical and other delegated duties

Assist with therapeutic procedures, complete reprocessing of procedural instruments, supplies maintenance and room set up and tear down

Actively involved with training peers

Assistance with complex Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) procedures

Complete educational training and exams and will be assigned a designated mentor(s) to develop skills necessary to perform the G.I. Endoscopy Technician (Advanced) essential functions within the scope of the role

Required

Six months experience in Advanced GI Role obtained on the job or prior to hire

Demonstrate proficiency with gastroenterology terminology

Demonstrated proficiency with completion of non-complex therapeutic procedures, advanced GI procedures and reprocessing procedures related to gastroenterology within applicable departments

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
