The Step Shop Technician will participate in various work activities within the Step Department, including sawing material, constructing steps, and preparing products for final disposition.

Responsibilities
Cut parts from 5 ½” to 8” and assembly stringers in a jig from 2 steps through 4 steps by screwing them together
Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together in a fixture jig boxes, plats and sides
Utilizes radial arm saw to cut parts for boxes, sides and plats
Utilizes table saws to cut parts for boxes, corners and enclosures
After the steps are enclosure bring them outside for storage
All sides and plats are put on a pallet to be taking outside for storage
Responsible for quality checks on steps which includes repairing any defects on finished products
Responsible for keeping work area clean, bathroom and help clean warehouse
Follows all safety rules and procedures
Performs activities in accordance with the procedures outlined in the work instructions
Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as needed
Any saws or power tools are not working only the supervisor can fix them
Must be available to work after hours or weekends on assigned days
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to work efficiently and safely to hit goals each day
Ability to read and use a tape measurement
Ability to use power tools and saws
Ability to following direction about quality and training
