PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is a leader in high precision positioning systems. They are seeking an Electromechanical Wiring Technician to perform wiring of electrical harnesses, cable assemblies, and panels in their electrical assembly department.

Responsibilities

Soldering and crimping of small gauge wires

Electrical assembly of cables, wiring harnesses, electrical sub-panels, and cabinets

Electrical testing and troubleshooting defects in electrical assemblies and cables

Report failures and defects via company quality processes

Ability to cooperate with others in a team effort to achieve quality, safety and productivity goals

Ability to work overtime to meet production schedule as needed

Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment

Required

Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings

Proficient with hand crimp tools in the making of cables and/or harnesses

Familiar with standard D-subminiature connectors

Familiar with machine and cabinet wiring

Can work with wires from ranging from 10 to 36 AWG

Soldering experience is required

Able to work from a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time

High school diploma or equivalent is required

US Citizen or Green Card required – evidence of permanent ability to live and work in the US is an employment contingency for this position

Minimum 2 years' experience in related field

Preferred

Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable & Wiring Harness standards, endorsement preferred

Soldering experience is required, J-STD-001 endorsement preferred

Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred
