Responsibilities

Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN

Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines

Complies with regulatory guidelines for work area and professional practice. Communicates patient safety risks to appropriate providers. Performs interventions under the direction of the RN/LPN

Patient Care Technician experienceBasic Life Support (BLS)Nursing fundamentals knowledgeCommunication skillsDocumentation skills

Required

Patient Care Technician with 2 Years verifiable experience or Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals of nursing

Professional Certification or Patient Care Technician with 2 Years verifiable experience or Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals of nursing

Basic Life Support (BLS)
