Responsibilities
Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleaning in residential and commercial properties
Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment, ensuring optimal performance and drying conditions
Conduct controlled demolition, including the removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation, as necessary
Clean and sanitize affected areas using specialized cleaning agents and tools
Accurately document all activities, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and project progress, using company software
Capture before-and-after photos of affected areas, ensuring proper documentation for insurance purposes
Report project status and issues to the Crew Supervisor or Project Manager in a timely manner
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, explaining the restoration process and addressing any concerns or questions
Provide updates to clients throughout the project, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the work being performed
Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with clients during stressful situations
Maintain and clean all equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and longevity
Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work in challenging environments, including those affected by fire, water, and mold damage
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and able to work overtime or on-call shifts as needed
Preferred
Prior experience in water, fire, or mold restoration preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate
IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, ASD, FSRT) are a plus but not mandatory
