Responsibilities

Work independently to clean, decontaminate, and assemble all reusable instrumentation and patient care equipment
Prepare equipment for sterilization and operate cleaning and sterilizing equipment according to established departmental procedures
Prepare and monitor sterilized instruments and pull supplies for the Operating Room case cart system
Assist in maintaining accurate inventories of supplies and replenish stock levels for the Surgical Case Cart Room
Perform periodic physical inventories as directed and maintain a clean and safe workplace
Complete all other duties as assigned
Provide quality customer service, participate in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and cooperation

Qualification

Certified Registered Central Services TechnicianSterile Processing experienceSurgical Scrub Technician experienceMaterials Management experienceFluent in English

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Certified Registered Central Services Technician certification required as mandated by NJDOH
Technicians are responsible for maintaining CRCST certification yearly
A minimum of one year experience with Sterile Processing, Surgical Scrub Technician, Materials Management or a healthcare related field is preferred
The potential employee must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
