Maintenance Technician (1st shift)

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of production and processing equipment.

Responsibilities
Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication and troubleshooting repairs
Operates and understands all equipment necessary for completing of assigned tasks
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, and processing equipment
Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees – notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
Installs and tests all new equipment and auxiliary equipment
Determines causes of errors by troubleshooting
Records data (service on equipment, labor hours)
Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards
Analyzes data and performs mathematical calculations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
3-4 years of relevant maintenance experience or combination of on the job and relevant classroom training/certification in industrial manufacturing that includes troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance
