Responsibilities
Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, maintaining their dignity and independence
Administer medications with utmost precision and safety, including oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical forms, as prescribed by the physician
Implement a rigorous three-step verification process before administering any medication:
1. Confirm resident identity
2. Verify correct medication
3. Ensure proper dosage, form, route, timing, and frequency (e.g., 1 hour after meals)
Maintain strict compliance with medication labeling requirements to prevent potential errors
Uphold the highest standards of care and safety in all aspects of medication management and resident interaction
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma required
1 year experience or training, preferably working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry
Completion of a recognized Medication Administration course is a plus
A comprehensive pre-employment background check is mandatory and will be conducted prior to employment
