Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact. They are seeking a Pump Technician to join their First Shift team, responsible for assembling, disassembling, and testing pumps, as well as managing inventory and packaging orders for shipment.

Responsibilities

Pump and parts order assembly
Pump disassembly and repair
Pump hydrostatic and performance testing
Receiving and stocking inventory
Prepping and painting of pump and parts orders
Packaging and shipment of pump and parts orders
Adhere to company safety practices and processes

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience as a pump technician or in a similar role
Experience with assembling and disassembling pumps or other rotating equipment, including tearing them down according to standard procedure
Mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills and enjoys a variety of work / multi-tasking
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility
Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads, perform manual labor
Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water
Work with material handling equipment, hand tools, and daily exposure to shop elements
Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day
Ability to work overtime occasionally

Preferred

Fork-Lift/Crane experience preferred
