Field Crane Technician

The Manitowoc Company is one of the world's leading providers of engineered lifting solutions. They are seeking a Field Crane Technician responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks.

Machinery

Responsibilities

Operates and inspects cranes to diagnose defects
Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, & MEGA-TRACK system
Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
Reads, understands, and interprets operating/parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports
Provides excellent customer service
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician
Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred
Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required
Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus
Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
