Service Technician

Responsibilities
Diagnostics and repair on heavy equipment, including Caterpillar engines and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems
Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components to ensure optimal performance
Additional duties include servicing Air Conditioning systems, maintaining detailed service records, collaborating with fellow technicians on complex repairs, and adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment
Proficient reading and writing skills
Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Basic computer literacy
Familiarity with Caterpillar engine and equipment lines
In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment applications, operations, and functions
Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician, Service Information System)
Expertise in diagnostic, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting procedures
Preferred
Welding experience is a plus
