Responsibilities

Hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure
Troubleshooting and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure
Rack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems and other equipment
Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and handoff of servers to internal provisioning teams
Monitoring of DC environments using monitoring tools
Monitoring and respond in a ticketing environment that is used and monitored by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams
Documentation of activities and create/modify SOPs
Decommission life cycle of data center hardware
Inventory process, order replacement parts and return failed parts as required
Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables
System power supplies and cabling install, troubleshooting and repair
You should be able to complete small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and completing larger local projects

Required

6 to 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Experience with hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure
Troubleshooting and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure
Experience with rack and stack of data center equipment, including servers, networking devices, and monitoring systems
Experience with rack installation including cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams
Monitoring of data center environments using monitoring tools
Experience in a ticketing environment used by multiple internal service owners and teams
Documentation of activities and creation/modification of SOPs
Experience with decommission life cycle of data center hardware
Inventory process management, ordering replacement parts, and returning failed parts as required
Experience with structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables
Experience with system power supplies and cabling installation, troubleshooting, and repair
Ability to complete small projects independently and work with a manager on larger local projects
