Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician PRN Days to provide patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet patient needs across various age groups.

Responsibilities

Perform sub-professional duties including providing patient care to meet the needs of activities of daily living
Operation and maintenance of equipment
Takes and records vital signs and I/Os
Assists licensed staff and physicians as directed within approved standards
Performs other related duties as directed
Assumes the responsibility for meeting the basic needs of all patients assigned
Provides care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated
Works collaboratively with the health care team
Is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals
Provides quality care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned
Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed
Functions as an active member of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team under the direction and supervision of the RN

Qualification

BLS CPR certificationCPI certificationPatient care experienceTherapeutic communicationDiploma

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Good therapeutic communication skills required
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire
CPI certification required within orientation period

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred
