Laborup is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to maintain the operational excellence of large-scale event venues. The role involves ensuring the reliability of critical building systems, performing preventative maintenance, and managing repairs in various facilities.

Responsibilities

Ensure the reliability and functionality of critical building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, climate controls, telecommunications, ice systems, roofing, and facility cleaning equipment
Proactively inspect systems
Diagnose malfunctions
Perform preventative maintenance
Manage timely repairs
Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, NFPA)
Blueprint reading
Computer-based maintenance programs
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Operate heavy equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts
Assist with event preparations, including setting up staging, flooring, seating, and related equipment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualification

HVAC maintenanceBlueprint readingSafety standards knowledgeComputer-based maintenance programsHeavy equipment operation

Required

Extensive background in maintaining complex commercial facilities such as convention halls, stadiums, large hotels, airports, or manufacturing plants
Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, NFPA)
Blueprint reading skills
Experience with computer-based maintenance programs
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable operating heavy equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
