Vitality Works, Inc is dedicated to creating high-quality herbal, vitamin, and nutraceutical supplements. The Product Development Technician will assist in developing and launching new products while managing current offerings, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, edit and review master formula sheets prior to manufacturing

Set up new items and BOMs in MRP/ERP system

Source new and existing raw materials and packaging for projects as needed

Set up formula costing and customer proposals; research and data entry of raw material costs

Request ingredients and prepare prototypes for customer review

Assist with managing stability program

Learn label regulations and review customer labels and communicate feedback

Trouble-shooting and problem solving on formulation or other product development issues

Communicating and problem solving with other departments to support them as needed

Trouble-shooting and problem solving on formulation or other product development or quality control issues

Maintain product development documentation, tracking information and communicating project progress to team

Prepare specification sheets for new and existing products internally and externally

Chase various resources both internal and external for status, work through obstacles and report status to the team

Stay abreast of industry news, trade shows, periodicals, trends, FDA communications and industry regulations

Work with other departments in communicating product information and new product launches

Using your expert knowledge and industry experience, research trends and product information

Required

Strong math, written and verbal communication, proof reading and attention to detail required

Use a personal computer, various MS software
