The City of Crystal River is seeking a Maintenance I - Groundskeeper to perform semi-skilled and manual work in maintaining various grounds, fields, and facilities. The role involves tasks such as mowing, weeding, and maintaining equipment under general supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain various grounds, fields, and parks by performing mowing, weeding, tilling, raking, digging and other manual labor tasks
Installs turf and seeds fields, parks and other grounds
Assists with the maintenance of equipment and facilities by performing manual labor and semi-skilled work
Performs litter control functions, cleans restrooms, sets up picnic and other areas
Operates equipment and performs preventative maintenance functions on equipment used
Able to use all non-powered hand tools in the course of their duties
Able to use powered grounds equipment, weed whackers, blowers etc
Operate City Vehicles (Class E) on Roads and Highways in the normal course of their duties
May drive but not operate the Boom lift (Bucket Truck), Maintenance I can be second body on the ground for safety

Required

One (1) year of ground maintenance experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License
