New Grad, Entry LevelNEOGOV is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Environmental Services with the City of Panama City, FL. This role involves operating heavy equipment and performing maintenance tasks, particularly in emergency situations related to adverse weather events.

Responsibilities
Drive and operate Trucks, Trailers and/or Boom Truck combination vehicles
Unload solid waste vehicles/trucks at the landfill site
Perform maintenance on equipment, trucks, tools and machinery
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all equipment, including, but not limited to, inspecting all equipment, trucks, and machinery, checking fluid levels, checking tire levels and greasing equipment
Pick up and deliveries of garbage carts and dumpsters
Pressure washing, cleaning, repair and painting of garbage carts, dumpsters and all work areas
Operate chainsaw, shovels, rakes and all other solid waste-related equipment
Remove spilled debris from the roadway (trash, garbage, and others)
Perform manual work functions such as concrete repair, mailbox repair, waterlines and minor construction
May assist other departments in the routine maintenance of equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
Must have a Florida CDL – Class B with Air Brakes endorsement
Must have previous experience in heavy machinery operations and maintenance
Must have previous experience in construction and concrete work
