Responsibilities
Teaching both developmental and transferable English courses
Developing and revising curriculum to support instructional goals
Documenting and assessing student learning outcomes
Participating in program review, assessment efforts, and faculty committees
Supporting the learning needs of students with varied academic backgrounds, including those in foundational education
Engaging in professional development activities to maintain instructional effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, or a closely related field
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English
Demonstrated ability to effectively meet the instructional needs of a broad student population
Preferred
Prior teaching experience at the community college level
Familiarity with teaching strategies that support a range of learners, including traditional, non-traditional, and at-risk students
