Hays Service is seeking a Chiller Technician to provide service work throughout Macon and surrounding areas. The role involves servicing commercial HVAC equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair/replacement of chillers.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test systems for proper operation

Determine customer concerns

Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area

Discuss system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or verify resolution

Maintain all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives

Use of cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, rigging equipment, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair equipment

Work with large Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, and other HVAC Equipment

Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders

Coordinate with repair and maintenance teams to assist in other work

Generate work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Chiller maintenanceTroubleshootingEPA CertificationHVAC equipment knowledge

Required

5 years' of chiller experience, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, trouble shooting, and rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands

EPA Certification

A valid driver's license
