Responsibilities

Handling patient care
Taking care of clients
Assisting doctors in surgery
Performing dental cleanings
Providing quality nursing care to hospitalized patients
Executing treatment orders as directed by a DVM
Placing IV Catheters
Venipuncture
Injections
Anesthesia induction and monitoring
Perioperative surgical nursing
Patient assessment and physical examinations
Phlebotomy and catheter placement
Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique
Anesthesia monitoring proficiency
Perioperative surgical nursing skills
Routine dental prophylaxis experience
Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
Contributing to the operation of the entire hospital
Helping get all the day’s duties done

Required

Credentials as a Veterinary Technician or recent graduate with successful VTNE pending licensure
You possess strong leadership skills and enjoy both teaching & mentoring
Take the initiative – you are a hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital
Ability to execute treatment orders as directed by a DVM (to include placing IV Catheters, venipuncture, injections, anesthesia induction and monitoring, perioperative surgical nursing etc)
Passionate about growth and development
You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to): Patient assessment and physical examinations, Phlebotomy and catheter placement, Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique, Anesthesia monitoring proficiency, Perioperative surgical nursing skills, Routine dental prophylaxis experience, Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
