Maintenance Technician Full Time

Cypress Creek Hospital, a free-standing acute care psychiatric hospital, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The role involves performing preventive maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, and electrical work to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance
Sheetrock repair and interior/exterior painting
Plumbing repair and minor carpentry
Furniture repair and other general maintenance duties
Work in a detailed oriented manner
Multi-task, prioritize work/projects and manage time
Complete other duties as assigned
Work effectively with other employees and other outside parties
Maintain absenteeism within hospital guidelines
Follow hospital/department procedures for planned/unplanned leave
Follow infection control policies and universal precautions
Maintains required annual training requirements (UHS HealthStream)
Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures, protocols, and practices
Comply with the Personal Appearance policy
Consistently demonstrate a self-directed, professional, and disciplined approach to completing work duties
Follow proper lines of authority and organizational structure
Interact with patients and/or co-workers in a professional manner demonstrating appropriate boundaries by respecting and safeguarding the confidentiality and privacy of company and co-worker information

Required

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Two (2) years general maintenance experience in a hospital setting preferred
Licensure: Valid Texas Driver's License with clear driving record
Ability to work effectively with other employees, and outside parties
Ability to provide excellent customer service, exceeding expectations of both internal and external customers
Detail orientated, prioritize needs, multi-task and manage needs is essential
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive material and information
Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruption, time management and organizational skills

Preferred

Experience: Two (2) years general maintenance experience in a hospital setting preferred
