In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating requests, and ensuring effective communication with emergency personnel.

Responsibilities
Receive and respond to both emergency and non-emergency telephone calls
Direct calls to the appropriate authority for disposition
Dispatch emergency calls to fire and police responders, or Public Works/Utilities emergency crews
Monitor and transmit all radio communications
Coordinate emergency requests
Enter information into the Computer Aided Dispatch system
Use OLETS/NCIC to query and enter data
Maintain various logs
Call out and notify off-duty personnel, including calling for support resources
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
7 to 11 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Availability and willingness to work any shift schedule
Strong customer service, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills
Strong level of integrity and honesty
Advanced computer and typing skills
Ability to handle high levels of stress while maintaining focus and composure
Ability to learn and retain information quickly while under stress
Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgement
Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
