Psychiatric Technician
Centered Health is a rehabilitation center specializing in mental health and eating disorders. The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for providing rehabilitative support to clients, ensuring their needs are met, and assisting with various daily activities while maintaining safety and documentation.

Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting client Intake/Discharge Inventory’s and documenting all items in the EMR system
Provide line of sight supervision to clients throughout the duration of your shift
Provide and facilitate educational and support groups assigned and promptly document these activities in the client’s records
Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness through completing all required trainings in a timely fashion
Provides crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary
Maintain active participation with the clients at all times
Prepare and monitor medication self-administration documenting all details in EMR
Complete, update, and maintain the Centrally Stored Medication and Destruction Log for all clients
Document clients’ daily activities, unusual behavior, and pertinent information in EMR
Communicate with fellow Psych Techs, Therapists, Nurse, and Program Director, on an ongoing basis
Responsible for ensuring that clients are in designated group area prior to the start of every group; prompts and encourages clients to join every scheduled group and communicates a client’s refusal to the appropriate parties
Conduct thorough room and facility searches to ensure the clients’ safety at all times
Transports clients to offsite appointments as assigned and maintain a safe driving record
Collects, prepares, schedules FedEx pickup, and documents UA POC results in EMR
Provides client’s their approved belongings during designated leisure time periods
Assists clients with activities of daily living, including cleaning, putting belongings away, folding laundry, clean up after meals, etc. Complete other house chores as assigned
Carry out other responsibilities as delegated
Qualification
Required
Possess a High School diploma or GED
Valid first aid and CPR certification
Have a minimum of 1-year experience in the social services field
Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with the population served
Current driver's license, current auto insurance and clear DMV report
Solid communication skills (written and oral), collaboration and intervention skills
Ability to problem solve, identify, and resolve problems in a timely manner
Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, takes initiative to accomplish daily tasks with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work as a group to carry out daily chores
Ability to maintain line of sight for designated clients while prioritizing the safety and security the whole group
Demonstrate a cooperative positive, and enthusiastic attitude toward fellow employees, clients, and visitors even in the face of resistance of adversity
Punctual in arriving/departing for scheduled shifts and diligently takes full 30-min lunch break between the 3.5-5 hour mark after clocking in
Able to sit and stand for long periods, bending, stooping and/or frequent walking
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
Position requires walking up a steep incline, oftentimes in the heat
